About Us

Welcome to Rose's Vineyard. We are a boutique, family owned and run vineyard priding ourselves on producing quality local wines. The property was purchased in 1999 by Rose and Andy Williams and the initial vines were planted in 2002. Our first vintage was in 2005 and since then the vineyard and property has evolved to become the venue that it is today. The vineyard is set on a beautifully manicured property providing the perfect location for weddings, functions and Christmas parties. Come and taste our wines and enjoy a cheese plate overlooking the vineyard and lake Innes, or consider us for your next function.

After purchasing the 100 acres of 132 Apanie Road, Lake Innes in 1999, the vineyard was planted in 2002. An evening was spent at the house with friends tasting a selection of Hasting River wines before deciding on what grapes to plant. Chardonnay and Chambourcin won out, and Jim Mobbs of Bago Vineyard agreed to advise and supervise the project. Before work could begin a single large tree needed to be removed, after which the 600 vines were hand planted. The Chardonnay is grafted on Ramsey and Poulsen root stock, the Chambourcin grows on its own root stock. In 2010 more plantings of Chardonnay were put in, also another variety, Savagnin Blanc which is a white wine grape was planted along side. 2012 saw more grapes being planted which were Malbec and Villard Blanc. Trellising, wires and irrigation all came together at the same time. The vertical trellis keeps an open canopy and encourages air flow around the vines. Our first vintage was in 2005, and the wines are made by Bago Vineyard, in Wauchope.
